Nicola, who is currently doing her MBA at Harvard is understated, staying behind the scenes yet creating a platform that highlights a dynamic and complex Sierra Leone. In short, re-shaping how Sierra Leoneans see Sierra Leone.
2. UniMax - Fatima Sesay is bubbly, she amuses me with her high heels, hustle mentality and kindness. I am impressed with the brilliant idea that is UniMax. Unimax is an okada driven eco-friendly (uuh) delivery service. Whether it be mail, invitation letters, food, clothes you know name it, Unimax delivers to hundreds of clients and better yet, the company has good customer service. Sourcing high private and development partners, Fatima is continues to grow her business and walk her way into success.
3. ZubLinks - Saadia Zubairu is a Law student who I know personally has had this idea cooking for 2+ years. Saadia wanted to fill a gap in the food industry by providing spices, seasonings and other essential condiments to restaurants, companies, catering services, super markets and private clients. I remember vividly sitting on her porch working up all kinds of business ideas we wanted to start. And start she did, after 2 years of careful planning she was able to start her business which only continues to grow. I saw and continue to see the hard work behind the idea....she is your spice lady folks.
4. GoShop Salone - Edmond B. Noni is behind the latest online store in collaboration with Airtel Sierra Leone. Not only can you now shop online with a credit card or your Airtel Money, you can also ship goods/products etc to Sierra Leone.
