Our Mission
“Artistic
expression is weapon, is medicine, is voice and is vision. We believe in the
healing power of art to educate the mind and spirit, to eradicate
discrimination and violence and to facilitate dialogue and change within our
local and global communities.”
The mission of
Creative Collective is to illuminate the many but often not highlighted talents
of Sierra-Leonean artists by providing a platform where such talents can be showcased.
We seek to encourage and promote artistic growth and expression of hidden
talent in Sierra-Leone by creatively engaging with artists from diverse genres,
to ensuring cross-artistic exchanges, publications and exposure of Sierra
Leone’s talents to both local and international markets.
Creative Collective Mission - To provide a platform that encourages growth and artistic expression to Sierra-Leonean Artists
- To lead workshops that enhances artistic growth of young and or aspiring artists in Sierra-Leone.
- To publish a literary anthology of Sierra Leonean poetry and prose based on a series of Creative Collective workshops.
hi
ReplyDeleteI found your contact on twitter and followed to here. I'm interested in what you do in the Creative Collective. I cam to Sierra Leone and volunteered for Binta Jalloh in a Foronaya Primary School. I am now looking for artist projects like yours in Freetown and will be in Freetown next January, February. I am a visual artist and have exhibited widely and worked with communities extensively in Britain. I would be interested in hearing more about your creative collective.
I look forward to your reply
Ben
