My wonderful aunty is leaving for London and my mom decides to make Kainda for her, a specialty brown powder that we normally use to place on top of our plasas ( our traditional dishes). I met my cousin's (everyone seems to be a cousin) making the Kainda, old school style. The actual pounding of the powder and sieving of it is time consuming, and thinking i could do it apparently made everyone's day, Yes i was the fool who wanted to 'FIT IN' by 'HELPING OUT'. My mom took pictures, said i was foolish and that i should "clear out". Good times always.
