this weekend found me in the folds of what i call a bougie weekend. Friday saw me treat myself to a wonderful lunch, vintage shopping with my mother downtown freetown, a psuedo fancy party at Country Lodge topped by a block party in my Imatt Hood. Saturday found me at an all white party where i lost my all new and over-paid for blackberry and sunday found me in bed mourning the loss of my blackberry. Freetown isn't always about the hustle and bustle, and people do enjoy themselves. A small population do enjoy the life of leisure and shi-shi ness and this weekend i completely threw myself in the folds of it (since the whole december was spent working on one project or another). My favorite part remains the shopping for belts and random kick and knacks with my mother for the upcoming vintage collection i'm working on. 2012 finds me in a state of calm, no hurrying, no rushing and as the challenges appear, for the first 9 days of the year, i try to laugh them off and keep it moving.
